In a significant development, the cable car system has recently been upgraded with the latest digital operating technology from Doppelmayr, known as D-Connect. This upgrade, completed in September 2024, marks 26 years since the system first became operational. This state-of-the-art system enhances operational efficiency, safety, and monitoring capabilities.

Alongside the technological upgrade, the main 6,000-meter haulage rope and communication cables have been fully replaced with new ones to ensure improved durability and reliability. The gondola grips have also been renewed, marking a comprehensive overhaul aimed at modernizing the entire system for a smoother and safer passenger experience.
